Spray painting

I was on the hunt for a shelf to hang in our den for the kids to hang their back packs on. I was thinking I might just buy this rack at target, however it was $25! I found this green one at a garage sale one day when Audrey and I were out on a walk. I asked the lady to hold it for me because I didn't bring any money with me and she did! She said, "I was going to use it but it doesn't match anything in my house." Uh...hello....have you ever met...

Spraypaint! haha I just smiled and couldn't wait to get home and spray that shelf down! :) I covered the knobs with masking tape instead of taking them off because yep, I am lazy like that. Ha! :)

I also had these baby food jar lids that I wanted painted black. I have some souvenirs in the jars and wanted the lids to be pretty. :)

Ignore the badmitton raquets! :) They held the newspaper down! :) Here she is! All painted!

I need to decorate and hang something up above it. I have plans for that too. Stay tuned! :) But it is nice to have the kid's backpacks in one spot so they are right there when they head out the door in the mornings! :)

I love these knobs how they are worn! And my lazy way of masking tape covering them worked! :) ha! Normally I would just remove them and paint but this was just fine.

And here are my jars with their pretty lids! I have the sea glass in one that the boys and I found last summer when we went to Massachusetts at the beach. And the dirt on the right is dirt from FENWAY! Go Red Sox! :)
